Nestled among the finest residences of Caulfield North is Hudson Green — detailed, discerning, understated and sophisticated in design, each space exudes a sense of lightness and calm.
For the interiors, Kate Roach has been inspired by the residences’ large open spaces and abundant natural light, allowing her to feature the rich materiality of every surface.
With a minimalistic approach to the design of the floorplan, a palette of soft tones, textures and signature pieces elevates each room.
This begins on arrival at the front door, with a custom display piece and entry coat cupboard. This is just one of many places designed for residents to showcase their collection of artworks and wares, with additional shelving behind sliding joinery panels, which also neatly conceals a television in the living room. Residents can also find their own open bar by the kitchen with dedicated wine storage.
While the joinery features light and dark oak timber finishes, the jewel of the interiors’ natural luxury aesthetic is the kitchen’s grand island bench. Also offered in a light or dark tonality, the entire bench appears to have been expertly carved and crafted from one piece of natural stone.
There is also natural stone on the flooring of the ensuites and bathrooms. This stone wraps part way up the wall within the these areas to create an elegant ledge.
Graceful design moments such as these, as well as classic touches from the Herringbone floors in the living rooms to the wool carpeting in the bedrooms, combine to create a total picture of exquisite modern living.
