This autumn, Milieu Property will begin its first south side development, George & Andrew Street, the addition of five stunning new townhouses to the highly sought after Windsor suburb in Melbourne.

Milieu Property have collaborated with DKO Architecture to transform the destination, which was previously home to a rundown Victorian weatherboard house, into sleek, fresh and refined spaces that collide with a raw edge to give the design character and a sense of solidity.

Ranging in size from 76 to 116 sq m, and priced from $640,000 to $1,090,000, the residences will be made up of two three-bedroom townhouses, two two-bedroom, each with car lock up garages, and one one-bedroom. Each residence boasts multiple private outdoor spaces, including courtyards and balconies, with two also offering rooftop garden terraces with city and St Kilda views.

Located on the corner of George and Andrew streets, the five individually titled townhouses are situated a stone’s throw from the vibrant and bustling cafes, bars, galleries and shops of Windsor and Prahran.

Milieu Property Director Michael McCormack believes the Windsor properties will be a welcome addition to the market for buyers.

“Windsor is a standout location and this opportunity came at the right time for Milieu to bring the experience and sensibilities from our north side projects south of the Yarra.

“The outstanding exterior and interior design by DKO Architecture celebrates the neighbourhood the townhouses stand in, while encouraging you to determine how you live and play in one of Melbourne’s most exciting and growing inner-suburbs,” Mr McCormack said.

Milieu has created a project that balances function and finish, with natural light that streams into the properties. Warm oak timber floorboards run throughout the first floor living space to an airy balcony, encouraging a real sense of indoor-outdoor living. Coal Black 2-Pac Joinery is defined with thin steel detailing and softened with the natural variances and grains of white marble and timber.

“Form meets function with intuitive, interactive and flexible spaces, and a strong horizontal line directs and draws your eye towards the kitchen, the heart of the home,” said Jesse Linardi, DKO Design Director.

Interaction within the home is encouraged with an architecturally designed kitchen bench acting as both an island and dining table complementing the Rogerseller and Miele

appointed kitchen. This feature is adaptable and incorporates a marble block, which can also be used as a preparation bench, moved along as a platter, and stored away for more room. The kitchen/living space of these residences presents a freedom for the occupants to mould to their lifestyle.

For outdoor enthusiasts, the properties are in close proximity to Albert Park Lake, Albert Park Golf Course, Fawkner Park and the iconic Royal Botanic Gardens. Business hubs including St Kilda Road, Como Business Centre and Alfred Hospital are also near by.

It is predicted the highly sought after townhouses will be quickly snapped up by young professionals and downsizers looking for a stylish home, in a location which offers an eclectic mix of the old and the new.

“We have designed our Windsor properties to positively contribute to their neighbourhood and have incorporated intelligent design features that will continue to benefit their owners throughout the property’s lifetime,” said Mr McCormick.

Buyers will need to act fast to secure a Milieu property in Windsor, with the developer’s previous residential projects all selling out quickly, including Moor Street, Fitzroy; Bedford Street, Collingwood; and Waterloo Street, Carlton. Milieu will also shortly launch its largest project to date in Collingwood – featuring unique, efficient, liveable spaces for the young owner/occupier market.
