In an age where we can buy fridges with in-built televisions, and Thermomixes capable of cooking everything from cakes to casseroles, it seems ironic retro-inspired kitchen appliances are now all of the rage.

Perhaps it’s symptomatic of our craving for a simpler time.

Or maybe it’s taken this long to finally remember just how much cooler everything was in the 1950s.
