If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to live in a real Barbie house here’s your chance, because Barbie has listed her glitzy Malibu beach house on Airbnb.
That’s right, a lucky holidaymaker this month will be able to enjoy a two-night stay next week at the Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the fashion doll.
It seems Barbie herself has written the tongue-in-cheek Airbnb listing, highlighting the best features of her luxury hillside property. The decor is obviously rather pink, but if you can get past that, the home comes with expansive outdoor terraces, infinity pool and cinema room.
“Located in the heart of Malibu, my Dreamhouse has three floors with ocean views and open spaces for friends and family to hang,” says Barbie.
“My pool is the perfect place to cool off from the California sun, but I never travel without my waterslide, so I’ll be taking that with me.
“And whether you’re enjoying an outdoor meal, watching a movie in my personal cinema, or making s’mores under the stars, the best part is just being together.
“My Dreamhouse is your Dreamhouse! When you arrive, one of my friends will meet you at the door to hand off the keys and show you around. But during the stay, the whole house is yours to enjoy with friends and family.”
As well as all that Barbie describes, you and up to three other guests will have access to two bedrooms, a kitchen with dining area, an office and craft room.
Guests will be able to relax by the pool, but also in an elegant stone-clad bathtub with windows that look out over the California hills. Barbie’s hobby room provides the perfect place to spend some time painting, while other activities that draw on the careers of varieties of the doll, such as fencing, fashion accessorising and crafting, are also on offer.
Another opportunity for the lucky winners is to cook a meal in the all-white kitchen using Barbie's signature pink appliances with local chef Gina Clarke-Helm.
Bookings (or entries into the draw) are already being taken for the competition. So get in quick if you want to stay in Barbie’s mansion between October 27 - October 29.
