Lend Lease's Toorak Park is a new development village designed to incorporate its surroundings - open space and greenery.

At 2.5 hectares, Toorak Park will be a landmark in some rare blue-chip land in Melbourne. Expected to produce 448 apartments and 18 townhouses, it has been designed by Denton Corker Marshall and Carr Design Group.

Formulated with 16 separate buildings, and landscaped and designed by Tract, open space and trees will make up nearly a third of the total project.

"We looked at the Beatty Avenue shops on one side of the lines and saw we could create a place with its own character on the other side", said John Denton, the Denton Corker Marshall director.

The Toorak Park project is located conveniently near both Toorak Rd, the CBD and Toorak Railway station. Interestingly, this project will include a publicly accessible boulevard that has direct access to the Toorak ralway station.

Offering one, two and three bedroom apartments, as well as the townhouses - each apartment varies in size. One bedroom apartments can be anywhere from 55sqm to 88 sqm, two bedroom apartments are sized from 75sqm to 107sqm, and three bedroom apartments range from 115sqm to 148sqm.

This $500m project, which faced initial questioning from the councils regarding permits and regulations, including legal proceedings at the Supreme Court, is due to be completed by 2018, with a display suite opening later this month.
