To launch the first phase of its highly-anticipated mixed-use Burwood Brickworks development, Frasers Property Australia held a Discovery Day — and the response was incredibly positive.   On October 13th, a crowd of more than 1,000 gathered at the project’s site for the official residential sales launch. Results from the day included the sale of two 400 sqm land lots, a near sell-out of townhomes and close to 20 apartment sales. To date, more than 200 apartments and 70 townhomes have been sold, meaning only a handful of apartments and 3 townhomes remain on the market from the first release.

Sarah Bloom, General Manager – Residential Victoria, Frasers Property Australia, says the Discovery Day was a turning point for the local community who had waited patiently for the opportunity to secure a piece of the exciting precinct for themselves.

“There was a genuine feeling of excitement in the community that the time has finally come for people to be able to buy at Burwood Brickworks,” Ms Bloom said. “The sales on the day captured some of that excitement and it shows how much people are prepared to jump at the opportunity to live the lifestyle we are offering at Burwood Brickworks.”

The precinct is set to deliver a global benchmark, with its retail centre anticipated to be the most sustainable in the world — and the first in Australia to feature an innovative rooftop urban farm.

As part of this, the apartments within the $500+ million project have been expertly designed with a commitment to high levels of connectivity and sustainability. Open plan layouts optimise natural light and scenic vistas, while cost-saving efficiencies enhance the luxurious yet comfortable interiors.

Energy-saving master switches, solar panels, and intelligent building design combine to offer a high-quality lifestyle with anticipated lowered living costs. Details such as full-height windows, filling living areas with plenty of sunlight, water-saving tapware and energy-efficient appliances help lower each home’s carbon footprint.

Demand is growing for sustainable, elegant and refined homes. Add to this the fact that Burwood Brickworks is a highly walkable neighbourhood with an abundance of modern amenities like a retail and dining precinct, and it’s no wonder the sales were so successful on Discovery Day.

“Our staff were run off their feet on the day handling enquiries from interested buyers,” Sarah says. “The sales office is now open seven days a week, so I encourage anyone who missed out on the day to book an appointment.”

Prices start at $400,000 for a one bedroom, one bathroom apartment with a car space and storage to $733,000 for two bedroom, two bathroom apartments with a car space and storage. Future releases are expected to include a range of four and five bedroom family homes.

The sales office is located at 78 Middleborough Rd, Burwood East and is open from 12 pm until 5 pm daily.
