Prince Corporation and the award-winning design team behind East Village could have created over 30 apartments within the premier new development but, ultimately, they decided to keep the design intimate, with only 16 house-sized residences.

Will Leaf from Ewert Leaf explains how much thought and detail went into the building’s composition and interior design. “East Village was crafted to encapsulate modern living — visually, architecturally, and functionally,” Will says.

“Depicting strong linearity and a restrained aesthetic, it balances style with comfort and luxury with liveability, so that residents can enjoy a refined living space that still holds an inherent sense of comfort and home.”

The position of the site is charmed beyond belief. Thanks to a corner location, each home has dual aspects, with natural light streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides. This also means residents can enjoy cross-breezes and excellent air ventilation.

Elegant custom joinery can be found throughout these homes, from the cabinets around the warm gas fireplaces and television units to the dedicated wine fridges and racks perfect for storing personal collections.

The development team has not just created beautiful interiors, they’ve also ensured these residences have been crafted for extreme liveability and durability. Avoiding trends which can come and go, the team has used organic textures and neutral tones which will survive the test of time.

Residents at East Village can enjoy cooking up feasts for friends and family in kitchens fully equipped with Miele appliances and fully integrated fridges and freezers. Natural stone slabs with honed finishes create a sense of sophistication here, and in the bathrooms where rain showerheads provide a luxurious showering experience.

Cosmopolitan and charismatic, Prahran is a coveted residential zone. The suburb has a Walk Score of 97, so those who live here can easily reach daily conveniences such as supermarkets and providores, cafés and restaurants, as well as boutique retail outlets within moments of leaving the front door.

With local amenities and recreational facilities around every corner, the Prahran lifestyle promotes total ease of living. The historic Prahran markets lie just over Chapel Street. With vendors selling specialty foods, fresh produce and freshly baked treats, almost any ingredient for even the most complicated recipes can be found there.

East Village sits at the border of trendy Prahran and its edgier cousin, Windsor. Down this end of Chapel Street, and its many bystreets, there are thriving restaurants and bars like Melbourne icons Mr Miyagi, Hawker Hall, Morris Jones, Tipico, and Tokyo Tina — to name a few.

The Prahran and Toorak train stations are within easy walking distance of home, and the No. 6 tram provides even further connectivity so exploring neighbouring suburbs and travelling to the city will be a breeze.
