Since 2001, Waterfront Newstead has been the catalyst for the urban awakening of Newstead, Brisbane. Contributing to over $65m investments in parklands, roads, cycleways, community facilities and retail, it’s obvious the location is one that fosters personal health and well-being. Michael Wiener, Design Director at Mirvac Design comments, “it is an incredible location. It’s really close to Gasworks which has a great retail offering, it’s got all this parkland in front of it, but even more importantly, it’s only 2km from [Brisbane] CBD.”

Perfectly at home within this precinct is the upcoming Quay Waterfront Newstead. The luxury apartments feature as part of Brisbane’s $1b Waterfront Newstead development by Mirvac and is set to raise the bar in high-end apartment living. Set among 5.5ha of lush parklands, Quay Waterfront Newstead will be marked by a biophilic tower that weaves garden-green freshness up and around its apartments.

“You can live in a really natural setting, have access to the river, access to the water, access to retail - it’s a great location. It really is one of the best sites, if not the best site in Brisbane.”

The development’s primary focus is to offer homes with a clear focus on personal health, well-being and self-actualisation. In addition to utilising architectural designs and materials to promote a balance between the physical, social and psychological, Quay Waterfront Newstead also offers residents an impressive range of exclusive amenities.

Quay Resort on the rooftop features a 25m lap pool with sun lounges and plunge pool, barbecue facilities, alfresco dining, cocktail gardens with fresh herb planters, private lounges and seating areas with uninterrupted views of the river and skyline as well as a lush subtropical garden.

“We looked at the site and said, we don’t really want to put a building on the park - let’s put a park on the building. We took the park and we actually brought it up onto the face of the building. So not only does the building itself actually have nature on it but the building is also shaped like nature and is made out of organic forms.”

Residents can also take advantage of Quay Social -  a private penthouse-style kitchen, dining space for 14 people and a lounge and wine room - all located on level two. The ground level boasts Quay Balance - a wellness centre with yoga studio, gymnasium and treatment areas overlooking tranquil water-features towards the parkland and river.
