Gurner’s Ikebana, a $140m development in West Melbourne, is due to begin construction this week only 16 weeks after the project itself was launched.

Gurner released the project to its VIP database in December, and by January’s end, the project was completely sold out - a remarkable feat that not many have managed.

In late February the builder, Hamilton Marino, was announced, and by March the 130 Dudley St demolition was done.

Designed by award-winning architects Elenberg Fraser, Ikebana is about the beauty and quietude of nature

Featuring a Japanese Zen garden and a VIP health spa, Ikebana is luxury at its finest and is exclusive to Ikebana residents.

Construction of Ikebana is due to take around 19 months, with the anticipated settlement to be September 2016.
