Lend Lease’s Armadale development Toorak Park is more than 50 per cent sold after the public retail launch on Saturday, showing the demand for quality apartment living is booming in Melbourne’s blue chip suburbs.

Located at 590 Orrong Road Armadale, and nestled next to the popular Toorak Park, the residences boast generous living spaces, ample storage and 900mm kitchen islands.  Many of the apartments also feature walk in wardrobes and large private courtyards or balconies.

Toorak Park developer Lend Lease’s National Head of Apartments Ben Christie said Lend Lease was thrilled with the take up on the opening weekend.

“The opening weekend results speak for themselves – there’s strong demand for quality living options in blue chip suburbs. We see Toorak Park as the perfect opportunity for people to downsize, get started in in one of Melbourne’s most prestigious suburbs or simply purchase a standout investment property – it’s really pleasing to see that the market agrees with us,” said Christie.

“Buyers today are looking for the best of both worlds – where they can enjoy the luxuries of a quarter-acre home like space, storage and a backyard, but also enjoy the convenience of apartment living.”

Lend Lease has partnered with renowned architects Denton Corker Marshall, interior designers Carr Design Group and landscape designers Tract to create an offering that sets a precedent in 21st century apartment living.

“The fact that these apartments offer features that are typically available in houses has been a big hit with buyers.

“We’ve also seen a very positive response to the large beautiful gardens that surround the apartments, a place that residents will be able to relax in, or play with their children in the ample open space.”

The 448 apartments and 18 townhouses will be spread across four leafy quarters, with a third of the project open space featuring communal gardens and direct access to Toorak railway station through a publicly accessible tree-lined boulevard.

“Location is another drawcard for buyers as everything you need - public transport, restaurants, shops - is at their doorstep. It’s no surprise that a number of our buyers currently live or have lived in the area, and are opting to reside in the same postcode.”

Residents and locals will also have access to a blue stoned plaza featuring a convenience store and cafe, as well as the central boulevard, two village greens and public gardens that will be known as Grand Central Common.

All residences will feature energy efficient appliances, timber flooring and bathrooms with a single stone finish. Luxurious health amenities like a pool and gym, basement car parking and bike storage will also be available.
